A firm believer that life doesn't stop when you have kids. You'll find me camera in hand, kids and hubby in tow...making the most of life in Berkshire and beyond. I live in Maidenhead with my husband, 5-year-old daughter and soon to be 2 years old son.

Outside the Great Pavilion, these Crystal flowers caught my eye too. £25 per flower. Possibly not the best investment with my kids around, but oh how sparkly they were!

A non-gardener’s guide to visiting the Chelsea Flower Show

When I was younger, the ultimate torture that my mum could inflict was to make me watch Gardener’s World. It was just soooo boring! And to be fair, despite now being a homeowner with a decent sized garden, I’m still not really that interested in flowers and plants. I have one raised flower bed in my garden, and I’ve established a ‘Darwinism’ style of gardening....

Discovering nature in Maidenhead on The Green Way.

Picture the scene: the sun was shining, the eldest was at school, and my husband and I were at home with our soon-to-be-two little boy. Cuddles, tickles, laughs and giggles: the unexpected truth of a career in childcare.

Looking after little ones can be exhausting. Babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers, they each have their challenges. I work four days a week in an office, and when I leave at 5.30pm on Thursday for my ‘day off’ which involves looking after my toddler-sized little boy, I have to remind people that the hard work is just beginning. So when I try to imagine what it’s like...

Maidenhead Moments: Chinese New Year Parade

This post is the first in a new series here on the blog. I’ve noticed that when I share photos of an event I’ve been to in Maidenhead, I often get lots of questions or people wish that they had known about it beforehand. I figured that perhaps I can remedy this by sharing my #lovemaidenhead photography and writing about my experiences. So here is...

THRILLED with her new school uniform.
in Me and Mine

The highs and lows of becoming a first time school mum.

Having watched my Facebook feed fill up with images of my friend’s children starting school, I’ve never really been able to fully understand the range of emotions that lie behind the clichéd ‘stand in front of the fireplace’ photo that you see. As a first time school mum I’ve now realised that it isn’t just a photo. It’s a turning point, a moment of huge significance. Or...
