I often hear people complaining that there is nothing to do in Maidenhead, or that they have run out of ideas for what they can do at the weekend with the kids. Yet if you know where to look, there are actually lots of children and baby-friendly activities and groups....

HI THANKS FOR VISITING ‘MAIDENHEAD MUM’
Here you’ll find posts and reviews about my life here in Maidenhead with two small children. I write about a broad selection of subjects, from family friendly restaurants, things to do at half term and even where to go on ‘date night’ in Maidenhead and the surrounding areas. I’m always looking for new ideas and experiences so please get in touch if you’d like to share your story on the blog.

Putting Maidenhead on the Map
In 2016, I started tagging my photos of Maidenhead on Instagram with #lovemaidenhead and encouraged the community to get involved. The hashtag has now been used over 1000 times! All you have to do is take a photo of something you love in and around Maidenhead, share it on Instagram and use the hashtag #lovemaidenhead. It doesn’t have to be a photographic masterpiece, just something you snap on your phone. There’s no need to limit yourself to things in the centre of town, it can be anything within a short distance of Maidenhead that you have the privilege to enjoy as a Maidenhead resident. I’ll do a regular roundup of 9 photos with the #lovemaidenhead tag and share on my ‘Maidenhead Mum’ Instagram and Maidenhead Mum Facebook page.
If you want to see more images of Maidenhead, why not buy my Maidenhead calendar which has over 40 images of Maidenhead and includes all of the community dates for the rest of the year. Just click on the calendar section here on my site or visit the Craft Coop shop in town to buy one.

Last night saw the latest round of product announcements from Apple. Seeing as both myself and Mr H have an interest in gadgets and technology it’s become a bit of a tradition that we live stream the event and watch with friends (through the Apple TV of course!) You...read more
Back in June, I posted about my first experiences of being a ‘high risk’ Mum-to-Be, having to stay 5 weeks on the Maternity Ward at Wexham Park after being diagnosed with Placenta Praevia. While it may have been a bit quiet on the blog since then, it’s certainly...read more
Learn with me
As an established blogger and photographer, I now also run short, informal training courses to help small businesses learn how to use content marketing and blogging to engage with their customers. And, seeing as photography has always been such a big part of my blog and my life, I also run sessions on how to take great photos with your smartphone, a question I get asked a lot!
You can find out more about either of these courses using the contact form or by emailing me: email@example.com
Email subscribers get my blog posts delivered straight into their inbox with a unique ‘trade secrets’ photography tip with each email. Your details will never be shared with third parties, just a blog post or two from me each month.
